I for one am proud to be represented in congress by an honest-to-goodness real one
Amid growing calls for the abolition of ICE, Rep. Delia Ramirez is calling for the entire DHS to be dismantled. Highlighting how much experience the officers who killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti had, Ramirez said, “DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity.”
House Democrat Says Abolishing ICE Isn’t Enough — DHS Must Go, Too
“The problem isn’t ‘training.’ DHS was built to violate our rights,” said Rep. Delia C. Ramirez.

When I go to protests here in Chicago, I always run into friends and activists who are involved in myriad ways. Certain cynical leftists have a misconception that if you are at a protest, you aren't also doing other things, where the most impactful people see them one of many complimentary tactics.

With a post like this at a moment like this, you just have to assume that on some level, she’s in favor of what’s happening to her constituents.
Yes it’s cold in Minnesota—but we embrace it. John and I were in Hastings with Mayor Fasbender for Hockey Day Minnesota to watch my alma mater, Wayzata High School, take on Rogers. Photo taken with parents right after their son scored a goal!

There's been a huge influx of cars with Texas and other out-of-state plates in Logan Square lately and I assume this is a big part of that. Glad to live in a neighborhood with welcoming reputation!

My brother is running for State Assembly in NY and has been endorsed by the NYC DSA!

Take it from me, David will be an amazing legislator. He is someone who has always been guided by his belief in the need for justice for the most vulnerable. I am so proud and inspired to have him as a brother.
NYC-DSA is proud to announce its third round of state endorsements with three young, passionate, and motivated democratic socialists who are prepared to fight for working New Yorkers every day in Albany.

At the grocery store today my 3 y.o jewish son, seeing all the holiday stuff, said, sadly, "I think this store celebrates christmas." This is the first year where he's expressed any fomo or confusion re Hanukah vs xmas, and honestly, it's been more difficult than I anticipated explaining it all /1
