When I go to protests here in Chicago, I always run into friends and activists who are involved in myriad ways. Certain cynical leftists have a misconception that if you are at a protest, you aren't also doing other things, where the most impactful people see them one of many complimentary tactics.

There's been a huge influx of cars with Texas and other out-of-state plates in Logan Square lately and I assume this is a big part of that. Glad to live in a neighborhood with welcoming reputation!

this is the church that hosted El Arbol, the free store we built to support migrants staying at the 14th district police station a couple years ago. So great to see this project finally breaking ground!

Judson and Moore in Avondale hosts this excellent monthly bluegrass jam. It's a great hang and lots of very friendly and talented pickers. Next one is this sunday.
