I only recently learned about Bonsai (fka BlenderBIM). It's a really neat parametric architecture Blender plugin. I found the UX unintuitive, even for Blender standards. However, there are some pretty good tutorials for getting started.

Undecided between iMac or Mac mini + studio display. It’ll be the family PC in the living room so iMac would be a perfect fit (no cables and color choices are so nice) but it would replace a 27” 4k display that is currently there. May end up choosing form over function this time.
