How much do LLMs “know” about present-day climate?
We asked 17 models for July 1991–2020 temperatures at 15 000+ land points — and many did surprisingly well!

Marine heatwaves have devastating effects on marine biodiversity. And they’re on the rise. Impacts have been particularly strong on habitat-forming foundation species like corals, kelp and seagrass. The result? Widespread, cascading impacts on both biodiversity and the functioning of ecosystems.

i played Hydlide 3: The Space Memories a bit more. i have not successfully saved afterward yet, but i made it to level 3 once and got enough experience for it a second time.
the more i play it, the more impressed by the environment work i am. both the sprites and how the screens flow are great.

We see here a self-styled "honest broker" with decades of experience in downplaying climate change presenting an age-old climate denial trope: using *annual* rainfall data as argument against an increase in *extreme* rainfall.
Does he *really* not know better? Or assume his readers won't?
