I saw this kingfisher on a trip to Tokyo (hence the Japanese title) and she sat patiently on this rock for at least 15 minutes while I captured various angles.

The thing I like about Herons is they tend to stay very still for long periods of time, and they are not easily spooked, so it’s relatively easy to get good photos of them!
