Made vegan roast beef for dinner. Turned out great. Quiet day reading and hanging with the wife. Bigger celebrations in the coming days. Hope it was a good one however you celebrated.

I try to stay out of political debates but must say I'm relieved that Indiana legislators did the right thing by rejecting a forced redistricting bill that would have disenfranchised so many voters.

Thinking of both of my grandfathers on Veteran's Day. My paternal grandfather was a doctor in the army. My maternal grandfather was in the army and stationed in Florida. Both in WWII; both complex figures with complex legacies. My father worked in the Public Health Service at the CDC. Grateful.
