Thinking of both of my grandfathers on Veteran's Day. My paternal grandfather was a doctor in the army. My maternal grandfather was in the army and stationed in Florida. Both in WWII; both complex figures with complex legacies. My father worked in the Public Health Service at the CDC. Grateful.
