I’ve failed in all aspects of those teachings this year. While I truly wish the forgiveness of my friends and family. I have not asked for it from them or from god.

The days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are known as the days of awe. We are to seek forgiveness from our fellow man for any transgressions and then from god. God will not forgive our sins against other men only our sins against god. Both must be sought for us to be sealed for a good year

And so in London after learning of the killings in Manchester people gathered in protest not in support of Jews but in support of the murderer. “Death death to the IDF!” And other anti Israel and anti Jewish slogans. Amazing how that just confirms the need for Israel and a strong defense force.
