How can we measure mutant Huntingtin #aggregates in the 🧠 brain?

We investigated a novel ☢️ #PET imaging radioligand, [18F]CHDI-385 to track 📈 non-invasively the mHTT aggregates in the brain 🧠 of a mouse 🐭 model of #Huntington’s Disease.

In Vivo PET Imaging of [18F]CHDI-385, a Radioligand for Mutant Huntingtin Aggregates in a Mouse Model of Huntington Disease
Aggregation of mutant huntingtin (mHTT) is a neurologic hallmark of Huntington disease (HD), a neurodegenerative disorder caused by the expansion of a cytosine–adenine–guanine repeat tract in the hunt...

🎉 Very proud of our PhD student Marion Decrop for securing a PhD Fellowship from FWO @fwovlaanderen.bsky.social! 👏 🎉

Using pharmacological fMRI 🧲, this fellowship will allow us to understand how the dopaminergic system is functionally impacted in Huntington's disease 🧠

Can we identify biomarkers responsive to mHTT lowering?

In this new study, we investigated 💧 #CSF and ☢️ #PET biomarkers that could be used non-invasively to track 📈 the temporal response to #mHTT modulation in mice 🐭.

How can we quantify 🧠 SV2A PET imaging noninvasively in rats 🐁?

In this new study led by Lori Berckmans, we investigated non-invasive quantification methods for PET imaging with [18F]SynVesT-1 ☢️ as an alternative to blood 🩸 sampling for arterial input function.
