At the end of the PhD one should feel enlightened, and discuss its’ goods and bads. Yes, good reasearch topics come from staying in touch with the real world, but also from a trained mind in critical thinking.

Is #marketing to narrow indeed? I remember getting this reaction from colleagues in more cross-disciplinary areas such as management or entrepreneurship. The question always was: what research are you doing there? nobody (aka other fields) knows! I think this study agrees.
