Building again.
Next startup launching to 1M+ audience. Will be away until the next milestone.
In the meantime, I'm working on a book and workshop SellingInTheDark.com (wip) that dives into EXACTLY what success looks like BTS from leading indiehackers.

Imposter syndrome is common—even senior developers rely on docs, Stack Overflow, and AI. The skill isn't memorization; it's problem-solving. #dev

How devs used to communicate
I bet there were more thought put into each message. Now it's cheaper (and expected) to hit `send` instantaneously.
Maybe that's a good thing. People now text like they talk in real life, bringing man and machine closer.
But that unsettles me.

Cool!
Hey artists! 👋 That art share you’re hosting belongs in a museum! 💙
We’re building a little game that lets you link a Bluesky feed or post and it will display your images in an art gallery. Just like Bluesky, it hides posts for logged-out viewers if you have visibility off. 🙂

Cool!
"Should I drop out of college?"
If you have to ask, then no.
I haven't seen a success story where the founders who dropped out of college had poor family background or uneducated parents eg jobs, musk, dorsey, etc
A diploma is non-debatable if you came from poverty.

Is using docker to host your app the gold?
Been thinking about launching my next project via podman.
I haven't prioritize learning much about container as far as self-hosting some stuff.
I'm kinda behind =(

Didn't know! Very cute
In Russian, there’s no separate word for cats’ whiskers. People just call them mustaches, which I think is so cool.

I have this nagging feeling ideas are actually valuable; and we've been fed a lie this whole time that ideas are worthless.
VCs built the world's largest network of researchers to gather ideas for them pro-bono based on that lie.
Afterall, YC fund ideas
TedTalk sells ideas for $6000+

A proud dad moment is when your child codes his first game in Unity, relying solely on Discord, online videos and guides, and AI to speed-run Q&As.
Rarely do I see him use StackOverflow, etc.

I'll make $992.5K from this app in 2025.
My app started like this. I tried to map out the app by ERD-ing it w/o knowing how, but the diagram made enough sense for me to build an mvp in go, postgres, and vue. And then lots of canvassing + cold outreach off/on-line. #indie #dev #buildinpublic

This is one of the best metered pricing UX I've seen 🤩
@tinybirdco shows the number of CPUs you get on the scroll label. That's nice!

I wrote my first 100K novel motivated by NaNoWriMo. After 20 years, they're shutting down. It's bittersweet
I had hoped NaNoWriMo could've done more. I check often to see if they added a "web-novel"-like portal to help the West spearhead its indie writers into mainstream.
But nope =(

No idea what patent is out there, but I'd assume big tech holds a significant number of AI/ML patents. I wonder which ones affect indie devs if any.

hate to say it but gemini gives better results here and there than claude, but i prefer claude's ux tho.

I like this line: once you set a goal, you limit yourself. and when you achieve the goal, you become complacent. in such way, you cannot grasp the true essence of _
