It’s odd that terms like “socialist” and “communist” still get thrown around in 2025, as if we’re still living in the Red Scare era. Do people find these attacks even remotely convincing?

Sounds like today’s closed HASC briefing on the maritime strikes was underwhelming.
If the administration had a good story to tell on the law and the facts, they would be telling it.

At this point, I’m just waiting for Hegseth to refer to Maduro and Petro as the new “Axis of Evil.” We’re pretty much following the George W. Bush War on Terror framework (minus the the basic legality) so we might as well use a stupid phrase to be consistent.
