Her grandmother’s job is to help cleanse them, to guide them into their afterlife. To build this bridge she knows she should. It’s her responsibility as a medium. A moral duty to serve those both living and dead. It’s what she is destined for, but in some ways fate is cruel. More so than usual. Because those days when a painting is just a painting, she knows they’ve passed on. They never remained, not enough time to stick in her world or their families. That acceptance is something she envies. Momo has a hard time letting go.

Creepy phenomenon contributor spotlight: writing mod yza (she/her). Just another seasian fangirl, who blames being born on halloween for her fondness of creepy stuff! twt: pelagiidyza. Writing excerpt: He turns around to face her again, when he feels the air knocked out from his chest. The street blurs at the edges of his vision. The world is reduced to white noise. She is looking at him; the wisps of her hair dancing with the twilight breeze and the corners of her eyes crinkling like the first rays of sunrise. There’s a flush of pink on her pronounced cheeks, stretched by a smile that is equal parts earnest and teasing. “You’re alright!” she shouts across the street. There is a spell casted on him, keeping him in place as he watches the comet of her head fall further and further in the distance until he can no longer tell where the trail is. He exhales the breath he wasn’t aware he’d been holding, clutching at his shirt where he feels a crater in his chest. There is a star that rests there in the shape of a girl.
