Why isn't ICE required to have arrest warrants? Most of this madness would go away if they were required to go to court, prove the need to arrest, and get a warrant. Nabbing people off the streets, going door-to-door looking for people that "look" a certain way isn't law enforcement. It's a gestapo.

It’s a little early but I have already decided on my New Year’s resolution. I am not filling out any more surveys and am not complaining unless it is especially egregious. No one cares. Nothing changes. It is all crap these days and we either need to accept it or die extremely irritated.

I'm not sure how much longer I can stay on this platform. Not because of nasty posts or negative comments, but because I cannot handle the level of dysfunction, hate, and contempt in the world right now. Kindness was my mission for 2025. I will be extending it into 2026. It's the one thing I can do.

I'm on day 2 of a fast to improve my health. I am very hungry. Then I think about the millions of children and adults who are going hungry without their monthly SNAP benefits. Being hungry is no way to live. Being hungry is miserable and makes it hard to sleep, work, exercise, etc. We can do better.

I needed to reorder furnace filters. The last time I bought them about a year ago they were $28 for a pack of three. Yesterday they were $43.

The whole immigrant detention/deportation thing is horrendous. But what makes it even scarier is the way they are disappearing people. No legal access. No ability for families to know what happened. No options. No basic humanity. They are treated worse than animals. How is this happening?

The problem w/ the tariffs (aside from obvious immediate economic consequences) is that once gone, prices won’t go back down in tandem. Companies will assume consumers are used to paying higher prices and will seize the opportunity to keep extra profits by offering only a token price reduction.

I wonder how all of these ICE and other officials are going to feel when all of this is over? While they may be "forced" to do these jobs, they are not forced to be violent, disrespectful, mean, degrading, dehumanizing, and so much more. How do their family and friends feel about them right now?
