This amazing memoir by Stella Dadzie is called ‘A Whole Heap of Mixed Up’.
Lola Olufemi writes that it is “a stunning insight into the synthesis of creativity and political analysis that has defined Stella Dadzie’s contribution to Black Feminist thought in the United Kingdom.”

On This Day:
Mary Seacole died on the 14th May 1881 in London.
The Jamaican/Scottish Crimean War nurse had suffered a stroke. She requested to be buried in St Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, 679-681 Harrow Road, Kensal Green, London NW10 5NU. Her memorial statue is located at St Thomas’ Hospital.

Delighted that you saw my daughter Azuka’s play Olivette! I’m so proud of her. 😊
I finally went to see Azuka's play at the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff. Oh lawd, I want EVERY SINGLE PERSON to go see it. She came just to see me & sat beside me throughout. I'm so glad she did.
I'm overwhelmed. Kept hugging the woman!
