If you think about exercise, you'll burn calories. Not a lot but enough to fool yourself into thinking you didn't completely bail :-)

Any job application that actually extracts info from the resume that is correct, immediately jumps to the top of my list. What do you think, AcademicSky, MedSky?

Deciding between a new residency, staying in academic research, switching to industry, or starting a journal. Maybe I can write a book and retire. Or win a lottery? At this point anything is possible. Anyone with similar thoughts, Medsky, AcademicSky?

If you send out a bunch of resumes instead of working on current projects, you'll still feel productive :-)

I prefer looking at medsky than filling my application for residency. The second residency to go through because I'm one of those deserters.

Nectarine issue: got a crate cause haven't had any in a while but now regretting it. My husband eats them like apples, like a psychopath! Not cutting them into slices or anything, just biting right in.

After a lengthy vacation, deciding whether to go back to academia or switch to industry. After disillusionment of academia, I'm definitely leaning towards industry. But is it "the grass is always greener on the other side" situation?

Do you think post-publication review in form of commentary (published in a different journal) would be a beneficial thing to combat editors who don't respond to concerns about a paper?

Does anyone know a journal that published post-publication reviews? I don't mean commentaries for their own article, I mean in-depth reviews of articles from other journals (like pubPeer but more.... formatted)?
