hey, hey internet makers. what are some nifty ways to authenticate users (without a service) such that i don't have to collect emails or phone numbers or send emails? passkeys? anything else i haven't heard of yet?? sending emails is so annoying!

the hardest part of getting back into coding is remembering how to blink while looking at a screen, and to stand up more than once every 4 hours before i calcify into one of those home depot skeletons

totally bonkers how if even a couple of days go by without me being in nature my life starts to completely shatter. i just don’t know any workarounds to this.

a gem from my deep dive into the standardization of modern spanish. apparently the RAE once tried to convince México that it should change to Méjico. of all the awkward sociopolitical blunders, everyone knows you should never tell someone they're spelling their own name wrong 😂

a sad part of twitter being dead is that was literally how i and friends used to find jobs. i know that's not how everyone found jobs, but it really was a great gathering spot to show, not tell, the most interesting workplaces

Finally found a book as deliciously fun to read and think about as Inventing the Renaissance–An Everlasting Meal by Tamar Alder. It has already compelled me to handmake aioli (I must be doing it wrong, my forearms were so pumped!). I think it was originally a @geoffreylitt.com recommendation–thankk
