There is almost nothing the U.S. couldn't do security wise in Greenland already if they just ask. Unless, of course, the U.S. is preparing for a future where they are no longer allied with Denmark.
This is such a BS excuse. Denmark would surely allow the US to bolster its military presence in Greenland if it wished. No need for threats of invasion to achieve this; the US is pursuing this course of action because it wants to own the territory and its natural resources
