As a creator, I am not sure how I can ethically keep my server of over 900 people if Discord goes through with these changes. Collecting official IDs and biometric data is so icky, especially in the age of The Surveillance State that we are in today.

Starting in March, Discord will shift to a Teen-by-Default experience.

That means all adult users will be required to complete age verification (video selfie or a scan of a government-issued ID) to unlock full access.
