I drive missiles that run on scissors (trains), make strange noises with circuits, observe conflicts, research break-away movements, and write.

Not an expert - I work for a living.

Whomst among us could possibly have imagined that a man who has already aligned himself with some of the very worst people would also turn out to have been mates with Epstein?
MIT's famous linguistic professor Noam Chomsky was in regular and close contact with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to a review of emails published by the U.S. House Oversight Committee. In the documents, Chomsky described Epstein as a "highly valued friend."

I cannot for the life of me fathom why we do this weird game with political actors after they’ve left the White House, they go on high paying book and speaking tours as post-power influencers.

It’s an utterly bizarre phenomenon.

What’s next, brand endorsements?

Nothing else in my life might feel
in order, but I’m really glad to have been able to get out to these shows this year.

The weirdest part about the POTUS’ absurd move to deploy 200 Oregon National Guard personnel to Portland to assist federal LE in defending federal properties from small and kinda boring protests has been watching social media shitposters regurgitating the same jokes and comments over and over again.

It’s been a minute since I bashed out a synth loop arrangement in one sitting to the point where I felt like it was pretty much done.

This was fun.

Finally got around to plugging my Pawn shop special rebuild into my recently acquired JC-120.

Here’s what it sounds like with my Harby Big Muff clone & Red Panda Particle granular delay.

Been doodling in guitar a lot lately…

It is complete!
I took a single humbucker strat and made it into a triple humbucker Strat with some strange resonant qualities.

Guitar project almost complete.

I have the Lil’ Screamin Demon in the middle position, now. I want to pick up a decent wire stripper and then get to my soldering.

I also have the interior of the guitar body lined with copper foil tape, grounded to itself.

RIP, legends.

Guitar project coming along.

The only gaps before wiring everything are errors in equipment purchases.

I‘m not sure what phase of capitalism this particular marketing strategy for a $1500 inflatable gorilla sofa is… but I’m into the part where it now actually feels like we’re living in a sci-fi dystopia.

Bands I’ve seen this week:

1. Die Krupps
2. My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult
3. Ministry
4. Bobby Joe Ebola & The Children McNuggets

Unless something unforeseen happens and I see another band today, that will probably close out the list for this week.

Drove 3 hours to Seattle.
Caught Ministry-Thrill Kill-Die Krupps for 4 hours.
Drove 3 hours home.
The show was definitely worth the drive.

Today, I’m experiencing social anxiety from all of the people who want me to vote for them for school board positions.

Wild!

(I’m not voting for school board. I feel comfortable outsourcing this decision to my neighbors, actually.)

My 4 year old:

“I don’t like stuff from the 90s. I only like things that are cool.”

It begins.

Picked up a Boss RC-1 Loop station the other month and just now getting a chance to sit down and play around with it.

If the FBI knocks on my door, the joke’s on them. I’m probably at work. Good luck finding me at work, too. I’m constantly in motion. They gotta either call, email me, or text. And even then, I won’t get it until the end of my shift.

In general, it’s a pain in the ass to try and contact me, ngl.
Door knocks like these are part of a strategy to chill movement organizing and gather information that can be used against activists.

Check out this interview with an attorney on them here: itsgoingdown.org/right-outsid...

One of the giants of IR, Joseph Nye, has died.As @dandrezner.bsky.social correctly noted, its a rather cruel irony that Nye died as the importance of his greatest contribution to IR, concept of soft power, is about to be field tested about US by Trump Admin.

Nye developed the concept of "soft power" -- but he did so much more.

One strange thing being a mass transit operator for 2 years now has instilled in me is a deep affinity for the local bureau of transportation.

I just pulled up to an intersection earlier behind a PBOT vehicle and thought to myself “Fuck yeah! PBOT! I love those guys!”
