Nearly 40 years ago one of my first and favorite jobs was ensuring Region 10 EPA employees were safe on the job, while they protected environmental and public health. Today I cry for so much lost.
Federal officials consult this data when deciding whether to grant permits to nearby industrial facilities, such as power plants or oil refineries.

Our hearts go out to the incredible folks at NIOSH. On Friday night, most remaining staff were laid off—gutting programs that protect workers, like PPE approvals and firefighter health research.

RFKJ’s HHS tried to downplay it on X, brushing it off as just a “required notice.”

Total BS.
