I live in a city within a city, which is a concept I don't quite understand. One consequence is that I can't vote for the big city's mayor. So when an ad appeared in my FB feed for one of the two candidates - whose half brother is actively causing harm to this country - I reported it. No regrets.

You ever just want to yell at Connections to use its words?

If TSA agents are on the job but not being paid, can we give them gifts, like Dunkin' gift cards?

I believe this was covered once on Car Talk. Answer was 'yes,' if I recall correctly.
A reader asked: "I love browsing TikTok while I’m doing my business. Will this give me constipation or hemorrhoids?" Here’s what we know.
Does Smartphone Use Contribute to Hemorrhoids?

Amazes me that with all the info FB gathers on us, they can't figure out that someone has died and that maybe there's no need to wish them a happy birthday.

I've collected a bunch of photos for #FridayFlowers, but not getting much of a following. Today I'm going for #FridayFauna, though not intending it to be a regular feature. Bambi and her mom, as viewed on my bike ride last Saturday.

#FridayFlowers serves as a reminder that there is plenty of beauty in this messed up world.

Per You Snooze and Whirrled Rapport, I moved from the #19 place to live to...one that didn't even make the list. Oof. As I have been rather impressed by the cycling infrastructure in my new location, though, I'm more convinced than ever that they just pull names out of a hat.

And take note, #Hartford. This goes for several miles and passes *gasp* businesses. It also snows here, so don’t try that excuse.
(Also, the buses have WiFi.)
My new city is earning points w/ cycling infrastructure. This is a US Route w/ a 2-way protected bike lane & an island for people to wait for the bus. Bus doesn’t have to stop in bike lane. Even a bench while you wait! Sure, it’d be nice if there was cover for rainy/cold days, but it’s something.

I know a library system that could use Carla Hayden. I bet she’d even live within 5 miles of the central branch…

In the year of our constitutional crisis 2025, it boggles my mind when people can't figure out how to copy and paste a link.
