Addicted to buying video games and forgetting to play them.
I'm not familiar with all of the Dragon Quest 7 changes for the remaster, but there's one I encountered that is very, very funny.

I'm enjoying DQ7 Remastered so far. My perverse enjoyment of grinding has led me to believe that I should play more DQ games. Gimme that metal slime farm.

I forgot that the modern Dragon Quest games are very British and deep in the accent game.

I hate my brain. My backlog is stuffed to the gills, and it's all "you should get the DQ7 remake!"

The ice storm has possibly killed my heat pump. Meaning we still have power but it's like 53-55F in the house.

I need to find a forum or subreddit where would-be writers can post their half-baked story ideas and people can go "yeah you've got something here" or "nah this ain't it"

My tentative backlog is at 90 games. At midnight, I'm going to open Marbles On Stream, do one race with all 90 games as marbles, and see what wins. No guarantees I will play it, but I just want to see.

Making an Excel doc of games that I want to play/replay in 2026, and I'm up to ~60 games so far.

I definitely don't intend to play all these games, but my goal is to rely on it whenever I have game paralysis.

Without fail, I always lose steam with Octopath games at the endgame, when bosses have 6-digit HP and take minutes to kill. And coupled with the new Diablo IV season, I might end up petering out on Octopath 0 when I'm decently close to the end (I think).

Ooh new class for the next season of Diablo IV. Might have to try it out.

Every single story beat in Octopath 0 so far has been 100% predictable. Enjoyable game though.

New Octopath game? Hell yeah.
New Metroid game? Literally never played a single Metroid game, Prime 4 probably shouldn't be the first one.

This dual monitor stand is garbage. Claims it can support 22 pounds per arm, and this 10-pound monitor will just not let me tilt it up.

I keep trying to play Where Winds Meet, because it is fun. But every aspect of that game just escapes me, and I don't know if it's because the game is incredibly obtuse, or because I'm an idiot.

Replaced both my monitors for Black Friday. Unfortunately while trying to attach them to my dual monitor mount, one of the monitors just droops down and refuses to steady. Might need to replace that too.

The more I play of Where Winds Meet, the less I understand.

Oh hey the Lunar Remaster is finally on sale. Wonder if that's worth pulling the trigger.
November 27, 2025 at 11:07 PM
I tried Where Winds Meet, and it just threw a bunch of nonsense at me, and then failed a quest on me five minutes in when I was just exploring, so I just stopped playing it.

As someone who owns way too many devices that can play retro games (and is probably going to buy another one within the next six months), the Analogue 3D completely escapes me as a concept. I could probably count the amount of N64 games I would consider going back to on one hand.

Every time I think about older RPGs I should play for the first time, my mind always goes to Radiata Stories first. Was that game actually good?
November 14, 2025 at 4:50 AM
Oh right, the new Katamari game comes out tomorrow.

I never play on the Diablo IV test realms before each season, but it sounds like the next season is yet another dramatic overhaul that might ruin all of my Eternal characters again. I'm sure I'll dip in and test it out, but I'm really starting to dislike this trend.

Ball X Pit might be my "Game That I Suck A Lot At But Still Really Enjoy" of the year.

Thoroughly enjoyed the FFT remaster. Not perfect, but really damn good. Will return to it in the future when the modding scene has had time to develop
October 21, 2025 at 4:41 AM
My biggest gripe with the FFT Remaster is that I need to be able to toggle fast forward instead of holding the button down
