I thought I was done with 🥌 for 2025, but few more last-minute rental groups asked for last-minute instructors.
Today was an American family visiting from Maryland. They have never curled before, but by the end they were able to put few rocks in the house. 👍
Another group tomorrow.

I instructed 2 rental groups again over the weekend. One of them was a group of junior ice hockey team with boys between 11 and 13. They were full of energy and pure joy, asking questions like “Do you go to Olympics?”. 😂
They had way more fun than any adult groups.

One of our opponents said to me “your shots are demoralizing” after I made a nice tap-roll-freeze to the button.

I coached 2 rental groups yesterday. Both were family-friends groups of immigrants. They all wanted to learn curling and have fun, and not like someone told them to do so. It’s always a delightful learning experience for me, as well.
