Need a family activity for one of the nights of Hanukkah? We've got the perfect puzzle for a cat-loving family: Happy Hanukcats Puzzle! We've also got this same art in a greeting card-puzzle form. We can't wait to celebrate all the holidays with our community.

Once again, we're late to post #NewBookTuesday (one of these days, I'll remember to schedule it ahead of time!). Come by and grab a copy of any of the new books that speak to you--or you can always order online!

We're extending our tote-for-tote food drive a couple of days until I can fill the car and take it over to the food pantry when they'll be there. So if you have more totes full of food you want to donate and would like a free Curious Cat store tote, come on by Wed. or Thurs.!

On Small Business Saturday, we're hosting a gift-wrapping fundraiser in The Curious Cat Bookshop for Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue. There are so many cats out there who need care.

If you need comedic relief about now, go onto Tiktok or Instagram and look for the trending reels that start with "She's the kind of girl they write books about." It's all bookstores and libraries having fun with it, and the books they choose are hilarious.

Just wanted to let anyone know who's waiting to hear back on our hiring for the social media coordinator/bookseller position that due to some health issues (I'm okay--just had to have a lot of tests to tell me nothing), I've had to pause the hiring process, and now we're too

Looking for a cute, funny way to connect with your kids? We've got lunch box jokes! They're little cards that you can send to school for a fun lunchtime surprise. Find these and more like them in the stationery section.

Correction: Small Business Saturday is... on Saturday, not Sunday. Ignore the typo, come in on Saturday.
Are you coming to our book club potluck tomorrow? We can't wait to see you! We've also got book bedazzling twice this month, book clubs, game night with @beccapodos, writing workshops with Stacy, and more before the holidays hit.

There's still time to get to the polls if you're seeing this right as we post it--don't forget! But for those of you who've already voted, today is ALSO #NewBookTuesday, which means a whole shelf-full of new books today! Which one draws your eye?

Hey, Connecticut! If you haven't already voted early, be sure to make your voices heard at the polls today. We're voting for school boards, mayor, and other local leadership.

Congratulations to all our @ctbooktrail winners! If you got a notification that you won something (and you can check the CT Book Trail Instagram to confirm) be sure to drop by and pick yours up if you designated us as your local bookstore!

Note to self: stop posting late at night, no matter how important the post and that you're scheduling it for the next day, because you WILL see that typo first thing in the morning. "Gratitute!"

We've been very worried about how our community will be affected by SNAP benefit suspension. Even with the courts ordering that contingency funds be directed to beneficiaries, we know that our local food banks are dealing with their own pressures, loss of funds, and more.

This weekend only! Due to the weather, we didn't put our carts out on the sidewalk, but today and tomorrow, all green-dot books are now 50% off. That's in addition to the blue-dot books, which are only $5. It's a wide variety so there'll be something to interest everyone!

The weather definitely set the dark-and-stormy-night mood for our horror authors panel tonight! If the rain kept you away, be sure to drop by and pick up a signed copy of these books before they're gone.

Something very weird (well, at least annoying) is happening lately--a good 1/3 to 1/2 of all new signups to our email list lately have been obvious bots. Like, gibberish names (ssyFyDUwxMebrKVEEwrELdh iqNueYJE ), nonexistent emails, etc.

As you plan for trick-or-treating, remember that books are great treats, too! Come by today and tomorrow for a book for your young reader and grab some (literal) candy on your way out. Look for these books and more on display in the middle of the store or grab a copy online!
