The bookend scenes with Jasmine and Dan Roebuck were written and filmed about 6 months after everything else. We needed a bigger twist ending! I’m glad we did because it adds another dimension to the movie and sets up a potential sequel. #HuntingForTheHag #OlliesRevenge ??

We needed a few pickup shots when Tara stabs and kicks Ray, but Jasmine was back in LA. So my friend Yvonne stepped in to be Jasmine’s body double. And she did a great job! #HuntingForTheHag #NoOneWouldEverKnow

We hired a different crew to shoot the “narrative section” of the movie, to give it a completely different look. The original score by Ryan Aldrich also gives it a totally different vibe. There’s some found footage die-hards that HATE the switch. But ya know what, that’s okay. :) #HuntingForTheHag

I think actor Tom Jackson might have scared some of the cast with his red hat & camo pants. But the truth is - He’s the nicest guy on the planet and a staunch Democrat. Despite appearances, everyone got along famously on this movie. And we all ran on Dunkin. :) #HuntingForTheHag #AmericaRunsOnDunkin

Content warnings can be a tough decision for horror filmmakers, but I’m glad we included ours. I’m always going to support the option to turn off the TV if it’s too much for someone. And Tara feels the same way! #HuntingForTheHag

We’ve gotten some nice compliments about the chemistry between our 3 leading ladies. Despite only meeting each other the day before filming started, they all bonded pretty quickly and still hang out together! #HuntingForTheHag

It was over 100 degrees for several shooting days and we were SWEATIN’. I kept my swim trunks on so I could jump in the pool to cool down between scenes. #HuntingForTheHag

Most of the movie was filmed in Pontiac, Illinois. Hawthorne is a fictional town, similar to Haddonfield in “Halloween”, which is also set in Central Illinois. Maybe Hawthorne and Haddonefield are twin cities?? I like to think so. :) #HuntingForTheHag #Halloween

A lot of our cast and crew stayed at this old Victorian mansion nearby. It also doubled as Tara’s college dorm room. Jasmine, Sierra and Alexa ended up sleeping in the same bed together because they were scared of ghosts in the house! #HuntingForTheHag
