Most of the old Culture Cringe zines have been scanned and uploaded! Also, the Zine Archive (at the same link below) is a work in progress that will consist of scans of hundreds of self published zines from the early 90s to the early 2000s. www.culturecringe.org
The zine about the story of the Bettie historical marker is out! After taking them around town I noticed a huge typo on the cover so I had to go back and manually fix each one on location. It was a rush! If you grabbed one before I fixed it, you have a collector’s item 😆

The current zine is now available to view at www.culturecringe.org - The Bettie Page issue will be uploaded there soon as well!

I’ve scanned and uploaded some more zines to the internet archive! At the rate I’m going (around 20 a week) this will definitely take a while, but it’s a lot of fun to do! Link here: archive.org/details/@ben...

For fun I uploaded a full scan of the 1931 Oakland Aegis yearbook. The significance is that the graduating class had Carroll Borland (Luna from Mark of the Vampire) and Dudley Manlove (Eros from Plan 9 From Outer Space). Link here: archive.org/details/1931...

I’ve decided that CD box sets are my favorite form of media ever. They just LOOK cool, and tend to have so much stuff packed in. Here are some of my current faves (bottom one is REM at the BBC.)

I have uploaded a full scan of the 1940 Hume Fogg yearbook, which has many pictures of the star graduate - Bettie Page. This has never been archived anywhere online so I’m glad I was able to do it, as there aren’t many copies out there! Link here: archive.org/details/hume... #bettiepage #humefogg

I recently received this autographed pic from Julie Dawson of NewDad - by far one of my fave new bands. It looked so cool I just had to frame it. Her new solo album is amazing as well! #newdad #juliedawson

I’ve been collecting Vampira stuff (especially magazines) for over 20 years and I had never seen this one until recently. Excited to find it! Not much can be found online about this magazine - Nightlife. This came out in fall of 2000. She says some interesting things in the interview! #vampira

So I have around 300-400 old zines from the 90s and early 2000s. I want to start scanning them and documenting them one at a time on a blog platform. It’ll be a huge project. Any recommendations on an old school style blog site that would be good to use for something like this?
