I just spent over two hours sitting in the sunshine while getting to know one of my housemates. I haven't just sat and talked to another human being in person like that for awhile, and it was quite enjoyable. Hopefully he'll stick around because I really like him.

I wanted one social media platform where I could escape politics. So I've been trying to find enough science, scenery, comedy, & animals on here to drown out the news as much as possible. I've still got Substack & Reddit for all the gloom & doom. Let's keep this place happy & more positive.

I'm getting brain surgery! On January 2nd, I'll go under the knife to have my aneurysm clipped. The surgery is 2-3 hours with 3-4 days in the hospital. I'm hoping for a badass scar. Scars tell your stories and remind you of where you've been and how far you've come. Anyways, hooray! 🥳

In 2019, a cerebral aneurysm was discovered incidentally & I chose to not have it clipped then. I moved shortly after & between insurance and life crap, it took a while to get new Drs & find a decent neurologist.
