Together with @carobarisch.bsky.social lab, we investigated how intracellular compartmentalization shapes lipid acquisition in mycobacteria

Interestingly, deleting one FACL enzyme (FACL6) revealed striking compartment-dependent phenotypes 🔬

Researchers from @topf-lab.bsky.social, @embl.org, and IIT have visualised how a large RNA molecule assembles itself into a functional machine, revealing a dynamic choreography that helps us better understand structural folding and misfolding, almost frame by frame.

Using a combination of X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM, a new study from @landaulabcssb.bsky.social shows that amyloids,form different structures that could be useful as a natural mechanism of immune protection.
