I’ve had a great time this week presenting (and touristing) in Copenhagen at the @icaz-news.bsky.social AGPM meeting. It was such a lovely conference with a great group of friendly people and lots of stimulating discussions!

Arrived in the beautiful Turin for the @isba11.bsky.social conference where I’m presenting a poster (and presented a talk at the @paastacommunity.bsky.social pre meeting yesterday) on my research on cattle proteomic amelogenin sex estimation

Thanks for sharing! Watch this space for some more cattle focused sexing data in the future…
7️⃣ While clearly powerful for human remains, the method needs more work for reliable cattle sexing, highlighting taxonomic differences in amelogenin preservation/detection that our field needs to address. #zooarchaeology

So pleased to see Charlotte Blacka's first 1st author paper: innovation was to use tims-TOF #MS for rapid sex estimation method based on amelogenin #palaeoproteomics. At <20min per sample (including prep all the way to data processing), this enables far higher sample numbers: doi.org/10.1002/rcm....

My first paper, detailing the Evosep-timsTOF proteomic amelogenin sexing method I've developed during my PhD, is now available online!

Scientists, academics, researchers: We’re excited to share that @altmetric.com is now tracking mentions of your research on Bluesky! 🧪
There are already many articles for which there is more attention on Bluesky than on other comparable micro-blogging sites, meaning the academic community and the general public have clearly adopted Bluesky as one of its core places to disseminate and discuss new research.

A Place of Joy.
