We have two new babies; Aries and Aquarius. Aries is the mostly black one, Aqua has the white whiskers. They’re so cute! Aries napped with me for about an hour today, just tucked under my neck so I’d say they are feeling comfortable. Cuss is watching them run around.

Taxes are filed for 2024. I’m getting a return so I’m happy for that, but it’s only because I pay extra every paycheck to make sure I don’t owe at the end of the year.

I have a big project going live Monday that I’m project manager for. I hate the weekend jitters that come with it; I can hardly relax. It’ll be all right, I have confidence in the work I did. It’s just hard not to think about all the things that could go wrong.

There were several layoffs announced on my team over the course of today and we were not told about it beforehand. Additionally one of the managers was let go. I’m extremely lucky to still have my job. I’ve been told I’m safe but who knows? Managers weren’t warned either, it was a surprise to all.
