A case of imported cholera was reported in Italy. Cholera, a diarrheal infection from contaminated food or water, causes 1.3–4M cases yearly. Prevention: clean water, sanitation, hygiene. Severe cases need urgent care. Diagnosis: TCBS culture, molecular assays, RDTs. #PublicHealth #cholera
