She held out a small card with an ink scribbling line of digits written across it. Katsuki took it, turning it over in his hands to see the opposite side being a printed business card for Uravity.
"Be sure to call me sometime!" She grinned. "You owe me for that hot cocoa!"

Presents for her parents? Done. Even small Christmas gifts for her close friends have already been ordered and are on their way to the UA mailroom.
But a mystery gift for one Bakugou Katsuki still eludes her.

She almost feels bad. Back when she saved up enough to afford to start renting a decent place like this, she’d been over the moon. Poor apartment hasn’t done anything wrong, per se, it’s just… painfully empty. Hollowed out. Silent.

“Uraraka?”
She spun on her heel to face him, her eyes lit up in the store’s red-and-green twinkling lights. Looking like the truest of Christmas wishes.
Damn.
He fucking loved her.

He was becoming soft. Never in a million lifetimes would he have thought he’d be acting the way he was. It was embarrassing; especially to his character. It was all Round Face’s fault. If she wasn’t so...so… her, this would be a non issue.

She shouldn’t have said anything. That was exactly what she had feared would happen if she did and now? Her knees were trembling, her heart had sunk and she didn’t want to see his face because it would hurt more. It was officially the worst Christmas ever.

Reaching out, he brushed his fingers across her forehead, brushing her bangs back, and then leaned forward to plant a gentle kiss on the newly exposed area. A small ‘eep’ escaped her lips when his rough chin scraped her skin.
“You’re fucking cute, you know that?”

She stopped and pointed to a snowman underneath a tree. "It reminds me of you."
The snowman in question was crossing its stick-arms and stones had been placed to make it look like it was frowning and angry.
"You're hilarious," Katsuki deadpanned.

“Yeah, good luck with that.” Katsuki taunted, holding his arms wide in mock invitation. “Come at me, sweetheart.”
“Don’t call me sweetheart when you’re acting like a menace!” She shot back, laughing as she lunged after him.

“How did you know all those things about me?” she asks.
“Hah?”
“You heard me. How do you know the name of the social project I founded in Mie, the model of the helicopter, the Comet Home Run thing? You didn't even know me well back then!”
“Now I do, so what?” he shrugs.

Worst of all was the fact that the place was decorated like a complete winter wonderland - fake snow on the ground, a forest of trees like they could be taken home right then and there and lights strung up to make it feel magical. What a bunch of horseshit.

Even though the kiss only lasted a few seconds, it was far too heated for just the simple peck that the mistletoe headband warranted. It left them both breathing heavily into each other’s mouths and it had Ochako keening softly in a way that stirred something inside Katsuki’s gut.

Katsuki lets Ochako pull him along, dragging their suitcase behind. Her hand is warm in his, and he’s struck by the fact that they’re here together and have all the time in the world just the two of them at this inn for the weekend.

Uraraka chuckled to herself and cheered. “I finally got to kiss you! I’ve only had a crush on you since we were sixteen.”
He watched her in her drunken state. She was unbelievably giddy in his arms, swaying in the music, smiling to herself over the stolen kiss.

Maybe it was the spiked eggnog that was forced in his hand.
Maybe it was the smiles and laughs from everyone as they ate together.
Maybe it was Midoriya cuddling with Todoroki on the couch.
Maybe it was Uraraka’s face. Her forced smile. She wasn’t even wearing anything festive.

The door clicked and Uraraka was left to ponder about what had just transpired.
That was the first time they’d had an actual concrete conversation with one another.
She hoped that Bakugo would atone for everything. Not just for Midoriya and for her, but for himself as well.

He has a headband pushing his bangs back, and the only electronic on is the radio, playing something soft and soothing.
There will be no distractions, he is on a mission. He is in the zone. Everything must be perfect.
It’s Ochako Uraraka’s birthday.

The world became silent. Like a movie someone would have switched the volume off of, he looked at the nearly faceless statue, hell breaking loose all around them. All thoughts grew quiet in his mind. Everything was quiet.

Then Todoroki asked the question straight out:
"So… do you have feelings for her?"
Bakugo didn’t hesitate.
A slow smirk pulled across his face.
"Yeah. I do. There’s always been somethin’ about her. I just never thought I’d get the damn chance."

She cries, realizing that she won’t be able to see her parents anymore.
She cries because she’d come all this way and found Katsuki and was powerless to do anything.
She cries because she loves Katsuki.

They sat in silence as Bakugou used tweezers to remove the glass. Once he finished he gently wrapped her arm, she wanted to joke about how gentle he was being, but instead she sat there and stared above him.
