I approached a box at work today & jumped back when I saw movement…after re-approaching I discovered bumblebees! They are greenhouse pollinators but some are also destined for dissection for classes. Spot the Queen! 👑

I remember the first time I learned about Bird’s Nest Fungi in a lecture. What I found most fascinating was the spore dispersal mechanism - relying on the splash of raindrops to spread their babies 💦👼🏼 flying babies!

Our university offers 1 hour free training every Wednesday at the Uni gym for all employees. You can choose between instructor-led classes or just going it on your own. I love that it’s an offer for us. Oh and… it’s considered part of working hours 💁🏻‍♀️

Ended off our week on such a high note at Institute of Plant Science at NMBU. We spent the last 2 hours of the work day in a brainstorming sesh, only for ECRs. Some hard truths were aired but so too were some exciting & surprising thoughts & goals.
