atmo.lol is a nice example of a no-relay atproto app: links are just resolved (and cached) directly from the PDS.
there are good reasons to use the relay and aggregations most of the time, but great when simple things can just be simple!

This is awesome, but a few days before this article was written the atmo.lol spec changed, it now uses the record's `rkey` as the short value and just a single `url` field in the record for the lengthened URL :)
It also now supports bsky profile resolution by simply going to atmo.lol/<handle> !
