No. Not voting for someone because you're trying to "punish" them is childish and (hopefully now obviously) short-sighted. And there's so much more going on in the world than whatever single issue causes someone to make their choice. Not taking a side always helps the oppressor. Always.

It's so funny how they thought they were "punishing" the Democrats by not voting for them. Too many people treat this like a popularity contest and not something that will decide the fate of the whole ass country for generations to come.

He's trying to take it to the Supreme Court so they rule in his favor, which, at literally any other time in history, would have been seen as a ridiculous gesture. But he said he thinks the Constitution should be taken apart so this is pretty on-brand.
