If Ken Burns wanted to, he could mention that a young boy from the Carolinas and his brother were in a British POW camp late in the Revolutionary War. Robert Jackson died in camp, but his brother Andrew lived. And later became President of the USA.

John Andre's remains are in Westminster Abbey. It's quite an impressive monument there.

Ken Burns is wisely reminding us the the Revolution was a war, with bloody combat and misery and wounded, as much or worse as other American wars for which we have photographs and video.
It wasn't a bunch of statues and paintings fighting. They were humans like us.

I'm glad the documentary didn't promote the myth that Ethan Allen said he was taking over Fort Ticonderoga "In the name of the great Jehovah and the Continental Congress". Since he was an atheist and all.
