one thing i don't understand about misunderstanding tariffs is, even if they worked where the exporter paid the tax, do you not think they'd just make their shit cost more to cover that? why would an exporter have to pay the US 60% of the cost of their goods and not throw that back on the importer

incredible to me that trump doing nazi shit and trying to get a bunch of people killed has him +6 in polling (which he's still below 50%), and in a few days we are going to see how skyrocketing prices affects that
