As a Gen Xer, it’s impossible to understate the impact MTV had on my life, and how difficult it is to watch it shutter at the end of this year. There was a point there MTV was THE pipeline to the world. And now it’s going away. Wow.

Far enough in to the weeds of a first draft of my first novel to say that first drafts are a bag of bones and gristle and garbage. And while one day I might tie off some corners to make arms and legs and enter it in the state fair, it is NOT today. Wish me luck.
