North Carolina family celebrates Autism Awareness, educates people on spectrum disorder
People living with autism just want to be accepted for the person they are that’s what the month of April is all about. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 1 in 40 children are diagnosed in North Carolina with autism. That’s higher than the national average. Spectrum News One reporter Jatrissa Wooten spent time with one family to find out what life is like.
