New Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) constitutional changes effective July 4 add gender identity and sexual orientation to non-discrimination policies and require new questions for ordination candidates. CNP has published an implementation guide with sample questions to assist presbyteries and sessions.

The Rev. Jihyun Oh, PC(USA) Stated Clerk, declared the denomination "will continue to stand with and for LGBTQIA+ siblings and communities." Oh emphasized that Christian leadership supports the vulnerable and that faithful discipleship pursues full participation of all people in church life.
"We will continue to stand with and for the most vulnerable in our society, whether that is because of status, identity, ability, resources, or any other factor; all bear the image of God."

Presbyteries across the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) are voting on amendments to the Book if Order. The webpage below tracks the passage of Amendments 24-A and Amendment 24-C. 24-A has already passed in a majority of presbyteries, while 24-C continues to progress toward the required threshold.
