Twisty is a fun loving spider and is one of the students at Le Chateau. Twisty's main role in the series is mainly doing chores and exploring. A lot of folks don’t like chores but not this one, Twisty loves chores a lot! Thanks to her long multiple arms, she can achieve any task that she’s given whether it be washing dishes, cleaning a room, you name it. She is the best multitasker you’ve ever seen. Her skills that she has are also good use in situations she has to deal with outside of Le Chateau too!

Tinn is one of the oldest critters living on Critter Island. He is also the founder of Le Chateau and the professor there. Tinn has a wise mind and knows a lot about the world he's in. He also acts as a great role model to the students and teaches them right from wrong. He has a great taste for adventure ever since he was young. He still is going on adventures today! Tinn is very caring and wants to protect the students at Le Chateau from any harm or danger.

Mina is one of the students at Le Chateau. Even though she’s the youngest critter of the group, she’s a very brave little yeti-bird. Mina was found as an orphan but then she was rescued and welcomed into Le Chateau by Tinn and the rest of the crew. Mina wants to go on adventures like all the other students, but she unfortunately is too young to go outside of Critter Island. However, she has other ways to have fun. While she’s at Le Chateau watched by Tinn, she’s usually playing with her toy duck called Mr. Quacks. She has a huge imagination and makes up her own adventures and stories that she goes on. That explains why she and Kicks both get along so well.

What once were black and white for a pal went onto a colorful phase of being whimsy and energetic, and so they kept on going to this day; that's where Makenaide, a new mascot, has a meaning of its name, "Don't lose/don't give up".

The entire canvas shows a new mascot named Makenaide (MKD for short as their watermark is shared on the top left, or "Don't lose/don't give up" in a Japanese translation); whose mood is all about energy, being creative and somehow giving the effort of what it's like to be an artist. The canvas shows all emotions - to the hunger of storing their colorful blobs inside them to painting the canvas, from thinking about art to waving with their friendly roar, from yawning and sleeping to having an idea with the light bulb showing up - so on and so forth.

In a short description of Makenaide; they're a "blob-like looking monster with a paintbrush tail made to be black and white", that once lived from a boredom until they were somehow changing their pure colors away from the darkness - all thanks to the objects of one bucket, paintbrush, canvas and an artistic hat. They love all things about their one hobby and that's painting, and they don't lose/don't give up on its own pattern of being passionate and imaginative.
