It would require some creative interpretations, but thanks to this one loophole it’s a very real possibility…

Big sigh of relief as, according to a PuckPedia post on the nazi site this isn’t true.
If the pick is top 13, NYR has the OPTION of keeping it & sending PIT unprotected 2026 1st RD pick.
However NYR can still elect to send PIT this year’s pick, which they probably should do unless it’s ~top 5.
