I've been trying it out for a while and, even though nothing will probably be like Tumblr ever, this is the closest thing I've found so far. It's true that there's not a lot of activity right now but, since it connects to the Fediverse, I can have more engagement from outside, for example I already have followers from Mastodon and one of my silly doodles got over 100 notes, most of them from outside Wafrn. I doubt the rumor that Tumblr is gonna join the Fediverse is true (I don't really know what to believe anymore) BUT if against all odds it does end up being true and there's a guarantee that Tumblr won't get deleted I'll stay there and cross-interact with people from other sites. And if it does get deleted I plan to stay on Wafrn and I don't think I'll come back to Bluesky." Screenshot of a continuation of the same text post. Flashlights ripped through the arena like sheet lightning on a murky summer night. Viktor swept back his hair and lifted the golden disk that hung heavy around his neck to his lips. A collective sigh rippled through the crowd as he performed the ritualistic kiss of his medal. Viktor flashed the press another star-smile. Then he hopped off the podium. Twenty years of being Russia’s poster athlete have drained Viktor Nikiforov off the passion he once had held for his sport, but caught up in duty and habit he cannot escape the icon he has become. Thoughts of retirement cross his mind when a drunken Japanese Cinderella dances into his life, stirring a dream of life and love beyond scores and medals. Leo chuckled. “I heard your date with Viktor was successful. Will you meet again?” Yuuri grew hot and cold at once. “Um…” His eyes snapped to his friend. “Phichit-kun! I told you not to tell anyone!” “I didn’t!” Grinning, Phichit held up to fingers. “Cross my heart and hope to die!” “He’s not the culprit.” Leo pushed his phone over the table. “Some Russian fan recognised you in the city. It’s all over the internet.” “WHAT?” Yuuri exclaimed. “Cool!” Phichit chimed. Squinting at Leo’s phone, Yuuri choked on his eggs. A picture showed him and Viktor in the ice cream parlour, Viktor’s hand on his as he leaned over the table. Two-time Olympic gold medallist Viktor Nikiforov on a Valentine’s date with Yuuri Katsuki, who just delivered an amazing short programme, the English translation read. “Oh, this is a cute picture of you and Viktor, Yuuri!” Phichit exclaimed. “Why didn’t you tell me you were holding hands?” “Be—because we didn’t! That’s a mistake!” “Doesn’t look like a mistake to me."
