Here's what's going on in the Senate:

Yesterday, Senate Democrats killed a bill that would have fully funded DHS with no guardrails or reforms.

We did this to protect Americans and law-abiding immigrants from the horrific abuses the Trump Admin. has enabled across America. (1/3)

Jeffrey Epstein's victims and the American people deserve nothing less than the truth and a full investigation of these disgusting allegations.
DOJ has since killed this link. This is what was there:

When the Trump Admin. decided on a whim to cancel and delay countless American energy projects, they weren't just hiking up costs on our families and businesses, they were killing jobs workers were counting on to make ends meet.
January 29, 2026 at 7:01 PM
Kristi Noem, Stephen Miller, Donald Trump - they've enabled horrible abuses of U.S. citizens and law-abiding immigrants across the country.

We need accountability, protections for our Constitutional rights, and standards to keep the public safe.
January 29, 2026 at 2:09 AM
As a former Attorney General, I know what it takes to fight crime in a way that builds community trust and respects Americans' rights. Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller's tactics are the exact opposite.

Nevadans deserve better than the chaos this Administration has unleashed.

A law enforcement recruit in Maine had a valid work permit and already passed a rigorous background check for the opportunity to serve his community, but the Trump Admin. detained him anyway.

They're doing this instead of going after violent criminals like Trump promised to do.
January 28, 2026 at 5:46 PM
Any time the President runs into a problem, his go-to "solution" is to raise costs on Americans and create chaos for our businesses.

Eighty-one years ago, the Auschwitz concentration camp was finally liberated. Today, we mark that solemn anniversary by remembering the six million Jewish people, and millions of others, who were murdered by the Nazi regime in the Holocaust.

No parent should be afraid to take their child to the hospital in an emergency. The Trump Admin.'s cruel tactics aren't keeping us safe, they're putting more lives at risk.

This is exactly why I've led the fight to protect sensitive locations like hospitals, churches, and schools.

The White House has had months to answer a simple question: what are they doing to fix the tourism declines Trump's reckless policies have caused? Nevadans are losing their livelihoods because of the Trump Admin.'s economic mismanagement, and they don't have answers. But I won’t stop demanding them.

Liam's family followed a legal process to come here and have an active asylum case pending - why is the Trump Administration detaining them instead of violent criminals?

5-year-old taken into custody by ICE has active immigration case, preventing deportation for now
The 5-year-old immigrant boy taken into ICE custody alongside his father in Minnesota has an active immigration case and cannot be legally deported yet, records reviewed by CBS News indicate.

So many familiar faces at the @cityofreno Senior Resource Fair yesterday!

I'm grateful for all of the workers and volunteers helping connect seniors with vital services. In case you missed it, don't hesitate to reach out to my office for assistance getting the support you need.

When the USPS tried to move our mail to California, I knew that would harm Nevadans who count on reliable mail service. So I stepped in with Sen. Jacky Rosen to stop them, and we won.

Now, I've introduced a bipartisan bill to prevent USPS from trying again without involving our communities.
Cortez Masto bill targets USPS efforts to move Reno mail operations
The U.S. Postal Service tried to relocate Reno operations for local mail to Sacramento in 2024. A new bipartisan bill would make such efforts harder.

This study confirms what Nevadans have been seeing every day at the store: Trump's blanket tariff taxes are raising costs on Americans.

It's a simple fix, but it matters.

Too many veterans were losing out on benefits until it was too late because state veterans' agencies didn't have the information to reach them.

After hearing from veterans in Nevada, I passed a fix to lift that barrier.

I just received this information from the Senate Joint Economic Committee.

Nevadans paid over $1,500 more last year because of inflation under Donald Trump.

If anyone - whether in the Trump Admin. or not - used insider knowledge to profit on the operation to capture Nicolás Maduro, we need to know.

I’m pushing for transparency, and for a plan from the @CFTC to ensure prediction markets aren’t putting our national security at risk.
January 21, 2026 at 5:52 PM
Donald Trump returned to office promising to lower costs and begin America's "Golden Age."

One year later, what has he actually done?

He's driven up costs, imposed record tariff taxes on American families and businesses, and killed jobs across the country.

We deserve better.

Last week, the U.S. Attorney for D.C. asked to interview me because of a 90-second video that President Trump didn't like.

The intimidation *is the point*. And it’s not going to work.

Watch my full response.

The footage of Americans in Minneapolis being forced to provide proof of their citizenship because of the color of their skin or the language they're speaking is repugnant.

I'm pushing the CFTC for answers on the suspicious trades made ahead of Nicolás Maduro's capture.

Any potential abuse of classified information to profit on prediction markets is a threat to our national security and the safety of our service members.

Just before 10 pm on Jan. 2, a prediction market betting that Nicolás Maduro would be out of power by the end of the month began to climb. Six hours later, President Trump announced Maduro had been captured and a newly created account walked away with $400,000 in profits. (1/4)

President Trump is bragging about the hundreds of billions his tariffs have cost American families and businesses while jobs are being cut and prices soar.
January 12, 2026 at 1:18 AM
Over and over again, I have pushed the Trump Administration for a plan to prevent exactly this from happening to tourism and hospitality workers in Nevada.

They haven't even bothered to respond, frankly, because the President doesn't care.
