A smaller adventure. Should not have tried that hill, hit a rock, bottomed out on that shitty sugar crystal snow and couldn't climb further (note the dirt at the top). Backed down and thankfully didn't get terribly stuck.

Listening to some sort of alt-folk from years ago and being reminded of when I was at work at the old camp, in my own little canvas tent with the diesel stove going, the desk was plywood and I had two old sleeping bags as sheets and blankets.

I have this sort of counter-intuitive sense that while Canada sits to the left of the US even when it's not /the way it is now/, the US contains more potential for substantial left wing shifts than subtly conservative Canada. It just contains a similar opposite energy that we're currently observing.
