“When we criticise the system, we’re not attacking individuals, we’re challenging the rules that let 3% hoard the wealth while everyone else gets squeezed. Often people overidentify with the system, they think an attack on the govt is an attack on them. It’s not. It’s a defence of the 97%”-RW

This is a dark time for Aotearoa, and for our environment; we have a Government that has happily put money before anything - before the environment, before community.

So, everyone has been super happy to use the Archey's frog to highlight the horrible rhetoric of this Government. Now y'all need to help us stand up for it - Oceans application is live in the Fasttrack - and us and the frog need all the help we can get!!! #2precious2mine #FriendsofFreddy

Oceana Gold submitted their substantive application last month - it was returned as 'incomplete' and as yet they have not reapplied. When they do, it could all move very fast - and all without any public input at all. Here is a brief overview of the process it will follow:

A proud moment for 90% of kiwis - who submitted against this racist crap. The report is in early (probs cause it was so so soooo obvs where it was going), showing what a waste of time/$ it was.
Someone should have told them that in the first place.. oh. Wait on...

Eww... these mining companies are crawling all over Aotearoa - We have a lot here, all hunting gold, but looking at the maps of the Country at the New Zealand Petroleum and Minerals site they really are coming in thick and fast - particularly those Canadian ones!
