Being back in my tiny hometown after being in Philadelphia for so long is really strange. I was able to walk into the pharmacy and say “I’m here to pick up some medicine for my mom” and get her prescription, no questions asked. Showed a voided check, no ID, at the bank and withdrew $200 in quarters.

Calcium bromide precipitation of triphenylphosphine oxide is such a handy method of removal. Just used it to clean up a phosphorus ylide, and it worked like a charm!

Does anyone in the #chemsky universe know what would cause these weird inversed ferrocene peaks? I can fix them by jiggling the electrodes around some, but I have no idea what’s causing them in the first place?

Tonight I’m deleting the color blue.. and also flipping the script a little. Colorless copper compound + dark blue phenoxy radical —> colorless copper compound, apparently. 🤷🏼‍♂️

It’s hard as hell to leave the other place- I’ve been there for over 15 years, since I was a sophomore in high school. Tried my hardest to hold my nose when the new guy took over, but I think it’s time. How blue are the skies here?
