In my heart of hearts, TMNT is a hood story. Mikey and Big D being respectable mutants wanting to go off to college and be in the arts but can't because they're in the life. Leo and Raph are street ninjas who are tired of the Hamato/Oroku blood feud but are afraid that all they can be are soldiers.

It's my first time working oil on hardboard. It's a weird experience compared to canvas because it really feels like I have to work my layers thicker than I would on canvas. Or I just didn't gesso it enough. Or added too much medium. I need to figure it out.
