TTRPG Question of the Day

Does your character have a living family?

I've seen a few memes about how a disproportionate amount of PCs are orphans & in my experience the number is pretty high. Does your character have a family? Did you create them or did the GM? How much detail do they have?

What is the most bizarre location you've seen featured in a game session?

There are a lot of interesting settings out there with some truly bizarre places for the PCs to visit. Maybe a tavern in the skeleton of a giant fish or a night club in an old subway car.

This is a different kind of question. I've seen people say that the TTRPG community is highly toxic, sharing experiences of racism, sexism, & gatekeeping. Do you think the hobby experiences this more or less than other fandoms?

Are there any recurring antagonists in your game?

Often the PCs enemy is dealt with & never shows again. In fact it can often seem like the only person who keeps coming back is the BBEG (if your game has one). But what about other enemies? Do they return to haunt the PCs?

Do you have a single creator in the TTRPG space that you follow?

I'm not talking about a show or full actual play. I'm asking about a singular individual within the space whose content you value. Do you follow them for entertainment? To learn? For a different perspective?

We're not talking about the overarching goal of the whole campaign, but rather the immediate task they're trying to achieve. Maybe it's just getting to the next town, finding the missing person, or breaking into that secure building.
