Do you prefer to play in a published setting or a homebrew one?
Most the games I see run are homebrew, especially in the D&D variants. I seldom see a Forgotten Realms or Eberron. But at the same time as I say that, some games seem to only get run in the standard setting.

I was just thinking about this earlier & I'm not sure which one I would probably pick. Too short & I feel like no progress is made. But I also don't do well with long gaps between playing.

I always think about how a character would get by if they weren't swept up in the circumstances that is the story. What skills do they have to make a living or even just survive?
