The NY Times reported President Trump said that he wants to move toward a health care system that cuts out insurance companies.
“We want a health care system where we pay the money to the people instead of the insurance companies.” A single-payer system, Trump Care (supplanting Obama Care). Does it.

Galatians is such a treasure trove of Christan outreach. Paul’s comment, “[T]he only thing that counts is faith working through love” stands out to me.

MAGA’s anti-Christian aspects. Consider Paul in Gal. 5 contrasts acts opposing the Spirit, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy (MAGA acts) with the fruit of Christian spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Ta-Nehisi Coates on Charlie Kirk: “[If] you ask me what the truth of his life was — and the truth of his public life — I would have to tell you it’s hate. I’d have to tell you it is the usage of hate and the harnessing of hate toward political ends.” from a NY Times colloquy with Ezra Klein.

Great piece in today’s NYT 9-5-25, Why I Am Not a Liberal by David Brooks. I recommend it. Something there for Progressives, Liberals, Conservatives, and Trump Minions.

[Most problems] are moral, relational and spiritual more than they are economic. There is the crisis of disconnection, the collapse of social trust, the loss of faith in institutions, the destruction of moral norms in the White House, the rise of amoral gangsterism around the world.

Path “to draw young people . . . to embrace a certain degree of self-actualization and individualism [yet] find yourself inside a structured world where various traditional desires are satisfied and honored.”
