Happy to see this paper out in the July issue of CP! Using the case of abortion policy, I argue that clientelistic parties engage in strategic, mutually beneficial interactions with influential interest groups when material exchanges no longer guarantee office.

In 2024, we received 267 manuscripts, of which 54% were rejected in-house. The average decision time was 29 days. The average decision time for only externally peer-reviewed manuscripts was 63 days. We accepted for publication 9% of submissions and gave an R&R to another 10%.
